February 23rd - Thursday
All Grade 10 students will be taking part in a workshop offered at TRU. A permission slip was sent home with the students. Please return the form ONLY if your child does not wish to attend.
Junior Achievement (JA) was created for you, the student, to prepare you for the real world. JA teaches skills that often cannot be learned in the classroom environment but are necessary for success in today’s global economy. Simply put, we’re helping you add more tools to your toolbox.
Here are just a few statistics:
- Over 75% of Achievers cite Junior Achievement as having a significant impact in developing their financial literacy and decision-making skills.
- Achievers are 50% more likely to open their own business, leading to innovations, new jobs and wealth creation.
- Over 65% of Achievers indicate that participation in JA programs had a significant impact on staying in school and enrolling in post-secondary education.
